Job title: Director of Development
Employed by: Trident Literacy Association (We are excited to celebrate National Literacy Month in September!)
What I like most about my job: I am a part of reversing the cycle of generational poverty and illiteracy by raising money for adults to earn their GED and WorkKeys Certificates!
I joined the Lowcountry Chapter of AFP because: I want to cultivate new relationships in the community with similar organizations and the same mind-set as Trident Literacy. I’m also interested in learning new fundraising ideas!
I'm originally from: Tuscaloosa, AL
My hobbies include: Swimming, Horse Back Riding, Scuba Diving, Singing, Running and Boating (to name a few).
Something my AFP colleagues might not know about me is: I was Miss Lake Murray 2009-2010 and also the recipient of the Presidential Service Award of the Miss America Association in 2010 for volunteering over 4,000 hours of community service all across South Carolina.
If I had one week to do anything I wanted, I would: I would definitely travel to another continent and see the world!
