Job title: Council Director
Employed by: Girls on the Run Charleston
What I like most about my job: The ability to know that we are reaching a much needed area of instilling confidence, joy and health to young girls in 3rd-8th grade. Seeing the excitement at our 5K race day after they completed the 10 week program - nothing compares. Their smiles say it all.
I joined the Lowcountry Chapter of AFP because: I believe in the power of connection and learning. Always learning! We don't need to reinvent the wheel and learning what others are doing allows for conversations to be had on how to work better and smarter. I feel like I can learn a lot from our local chapter and its memebers!
I'm originally from: Delafield, WI! I graduated from the College of Charleston and have been here for 9 years. My husband is a born and raised Charlestonian, so this is home.
My hobbies include: family walks with our dog, boating, reading, volunteering, and watching sports
Something my AFP colleagues might not know about me is: I can hydrostop a roof - thanks in part to spending a few weeks during the summer repairing homes.
If I had one week to do anything I wanted, I would: go boating in South Florida/Keys with my family
