What I like most about my job:
It is so very rewarding to know that you are making a difference in someone’s life. I am able to witness firsthand many blind individuals become trained in assistive technology and learn to use apps that help them lead a more independent life. I’ve also had the privilege of helping with vision screenings and eye exams for three and four year old children in Charleston County Title I schools and have been present when they have received their new glasses. What a joy!
As Mentoring Chair, my goals are to:
Make the best match for professionals who are looking for specific direction and guidance in their fundraising careers.
What I enjoy about serving on the board: It has been wonderful to meet and be surrounded by so many capable individuals who are committed to their profession and cause.
I joined the Lowcountry Chapter of AFP because: I joined the Lowcountry Chapter of AFP as I had heard that there were many informative programs and a great group of people from which to learn.

Gardening, decorating, visiting friends, football games and tailgating with my children and friends.
Something my AFP colleagues might not know about me is:
My fundraising experience started with volunteering at my children’s schools with jobs ranging from Gala Chair and Volunteer Coordinator to soliciting items for auctions and phoning alumni and parents for contributions.
If I had one week to do anything I wanted, I would:
Go on a walking tour of the countryside in England.
