Job title: Director of Development
Employed by: East Cooper Community Outreach (ECCO)
What I like most about my job: It is such a rewarding experience to work for an organization that helps others and makes such an impact in the community…it doesn’t even feel like a job.
I recently joined AFP because: My previous fundraising experience has been in the performing arts industry. Having recently joined ECCO, I thought AFP would be a good resource to utilize now that I’m in working in a new field. Also, I’ve only been in Charleston for a little over two years, so I’m still trying to broaden my professional network.
I'm originally from: Washington, D.C.
My hobbies include: Music, doing work around my house and in the yard, and teaching (I’m also an adjunct professor of arts management at CofC and sort of consider that my main hobby right now).
Something my AFP colleagues might not know about me is: I'm a certified rescue scuba diver.
If I had one week to do anything I wanted, I would: Probably spend the week here – either so I could adopt a dog and dedicate time to train him or her, do some home improvement projects, or be a tourist for the week and visit all the places I still haven’t been to in the area.
