Name: Anna Will
Job title: Chapter Administrator
Employed by: AFP SC Lowcountry Chapter
What I like most about my job: It's incredibly rewarding to see the work that our members are doing for the nonprofit community; I'm grateful to know that I can be a resource to offer support through chapter programs and events.
I recently joined AFP because: I am a new Charleston resident, having just completed my Exhibit Design M.S./ Nonprofit Management P.B.C. at UNC Greensboro. Being active with AFP is such a wonderful way to meet members of our local nonprofit community and to gain insight into organizations I volunteer or work with.
I'm originally from: Chapel Hill, North Carolina (Go Heels!)
My hobbies include: Traveling; playing flute; volunteering with the Cape Romain Sea Turtle program; exploring the Lowcountry outdoors; and running with my dogs, Bella and Brutus.
Something my AFP colleagues might not know about me is: I spearheaded and raised funds to design and build a primary school in Ghana through my Interior Architecture B.S. program at UNCG.
If I had one week to do anything I wanted, I would: Travel to El Viejo, Nicaragua with Palmetto Medical Initiative (PMI). I have spent the last three months interning with PMI, helping with marketing, graphic design and volunteer communication. One of my tasks was to help design a new medical center in El Viejo, so I would love to dedicate a week to seeing this through completion.
