Name: Matthew Dwyer
Job title: Director of Stewardship and Development
Employed by: The Catholic Diocese of Charleston
What I like most about my job: Working with people that are changing the world on a daily basis. I'm fortunate to work with many great priests, nuns, volunteers, church staff members, and co-workers in the Stewardship Office. I also enjoy traveling throughout the state, visiting our churches, and seeing the wonderful ways the church is transforming the lives of so many.
As Every Member Campaign Chair, my goals this year are to: Achieve our goal of raising $3,000 for the EMC, increase participation amongst our local chapter, and maintain and build upon our EMC committee.
I'm originally from: The great state of New Jersey: Collingswood, which is 10 minutes from Philadelphia.
My hobbies include: Playing the guitar, golfing, and traveling to visit family and friends.
Something my AFP colleagues might not know about me is: I attend a 5-day silent retreat every summer based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius.
If I had one week to do anything I wanted, I would: Take a vacation with my family or participate in a mission trip.
