from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  More information to come!

The Lowcountry Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is officially kicking off our 2013 Summer Institute with a call for presentations.

The 2013 Summer Institute is on Monday, June 17th and promises to offer a variety of educational sessions in the following tracks:

  • Annual Fund
  • Major Gifts
  • Planned Gifts
  • Executive and Board Leadership
  • Database Management and Technology
  •

From the beginner to the experienced, whether you work in community services, education, or any other nonprofits, we’re looking for talented presenters who represent a broad range of fund development experiences, perspectives, opinions and cultures. Consider sharing your knowledge and insight as a presenter at Summer Institute!

After last year we surveyed Summer Institute attendees and asked for topic suggestions. Some of the topic areas suggested include: young philanthropists/millennials, regional/cultural differences in philanthropy, campaign management, board development, pipeline development and management, and strategic annual goal setting. But don’t limit yourself to these topics – feel free to submit other topics within the tracks listed above.

Breakout sessions are 75 minutes long, including time for questions, and should be highly interactive.

To submit a presentation proposal, please email a completed application to:

Peggy H. Cieslikowski, AFP Summer Institute Chair – hotchki@musc.edu.

Session proposals are due by Friday, March 15.  The final slate of presenters will be notified in early April.  Presenters are eligible to receive a free registration to Summer Institute. Please direct any questions to hotchki@musc.edu.
