Summary of Position:
The Development Associate is a relatively new position at the ETV Endowment of South Carolina that continues the expansion of the development team and, therefore, expanded development efforts. The Development Associate will be responsible for conducting research within our database, conducting initial exploratory meetings with donors and prospects to determine willingness and capacity to give and nurturing and cultivating donor relationships within the Lowcountry of South Carolina through direct contact.
Working with the Planned Giving Officer, the Development Associate will help plan and implement screenings and other public media events, as well as provide support to the Endowment office and participate in all regional fundraising activities, including special events and donor/public relations. The Endowment will rely heavily upon the Development Associate for direct contact with existing and prospective donors to convey the mission of the Endowment in order to solicit charitable donations. The Development Associate will protect the value of the Endowment by keeping all donor information confidential.
This position will be based in the Lowcountry of South Carolina but will require travel to Spartanburg and Columbia as needed.
All candidates must:
- Demonstrate exceptional written and oral communication skills as well as the ability to cultivate and nurture relationships
- Be self-starters and able to function as part of a team
- Maintain a high level of productivity for donor contact and personal visits
- Be able and willing to travel within the Lowcountry region
- Exhibit proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Raiser’s Edge
- Possess a Bachelor’s degree
